Future Kindergartner

Last week was Kindergarten Roundup. We had to go register our soon to be Kindergartner for school. We were able to take a tour of the school. David is ready, not sure Mommy is.

In one of the kindergarten classrooms the teachers let them decorate a cookie.

First T-Ball Practice

David and Hayes. Not sure what this conversation is about, but it looks interesting.

Practice time at home with Daddy

Soccer didn't officially end before we started getting ready for t-ball.

Last Soccer Game

Proud of his trophy!

I think this was David's favorite part of the game. Going through the parent tunnel.

Enjoying a cupcake at the party after the game.

An out of order video

Throwing beads at the Mardi Gras parade

A day with Mommy

On the train at the zoo

St. Patrick's Day

Ready for school

Helping to make green eggs

Great Moms think alike. (didn't realize how bad David's eyes look in this picture)

Ready for some green food

Randomness

Mardi Gras shirt. We could not find a shirt anywhere. Gram found this youth large. It was big, but as you can tell from David's face he loved it.

David and Greysen had a play date last week. They said David's bed was the ship. Not sure why they needed all his toys on the ship, but there they are.

Practicing numbers (sorry it's sideways)

Random Acts of Kindness

We heard a knock on our door Sunday night about 8:00. We answered the door to find one of our neighbors asking if he had heard right that we were expecting a child. We said yes. He then told us that his wife works for the hospital and had 2 boxes of diapers for us if we were interested. Of course!!! So thankful for a great neighborhood with incredible neighbors.

1st Fishing Trip

They caught a lot of fish.

David caught his first catfish. He was so proud of himself.

First Soccer Game of the Spring

We were very proud of David. He actually kicked the ball a few times during the game.

One of our parade photographers

Apparently our photographer had a little too much time on his hands between taking pictures of our children in the parade.

King of the Mardi Gras Parade

David's Monster Truck Float

Needless to say we learned a lot about "school projects".

Getting ready for baby

David wanted to help paint his brother or sister's room. Please excuse his lack of clothes. He had already ruined a pair of pajamas just by going in the room to tell his Daddy goodnight the night before.

Twelve Disciples

David has been working very hard on memorizing things from the Bible. This video is a song he learned in Sunday School with his teachers: Mrs. Deana, Mr. Mark & Mrs. Lisa.
I have written the words below because now that he knows this song so well he likes to say it loud and fast.

Peter, Andrew, James and John;
Fisherman of Capernaum;
Thomas and St. Matthew, too;
Phillip and Bartholomew;
James, his brother Thaddeus;
Simon, and the one called Judas.
Twelve disciples, here in all,
Following the Master's call.

John 3:16

When I picked David up from church last week, they told me that David was the only one that said his verse to Mrs. Cindy. I didn't realize he had a verse to learn? When I quizzed him on his verse on the way home, he knew it. I was amazed. I am so thankful for Mrs. Cindy at our church who teaches our sweet children Bible verses (even when Mom doesn't). At the end of August he will be in kindergarden and no longer under Mrs. Cindy's Bible teachings. I get teary eyed just thinking about him going to "children's church" with the big kids. Thankfully his Daddy helps out in children's church, and Mommy will have another baby down the preschool hallway. Pray for us as we have a lot of big transitions coming our way in the next few months.
